Described as an "extremely musical and sensitive" musician whose playing "speaks to the soul", Reuel Hon is a 25-year old American prize-winning pianist currently residing in Boston, Massachusetts. ​​​

Committed to bringing diverse and engaging programs to audiences, his performance career has taken him across the United States, Europe and Asia. Hon has performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, Universität Mozarteum’s Solitär Hall (Austria), Walt Disney Concert Hall’s BP Hall (Los Angeles), while also performing for communities in public spaces across the Amalfi Coast (Italy). He has also made soloist appearances at the Seoul National University of Education (South Korea), Edward M. Pickman Concert Hall (Boston), Chapman University's Salmon Recital Hall, Oberlin Conservatory's Warner Hall, Manhattanville College in Purchase NY, and California State University Fullerton. He has also performed regularly with the Chapman Orchestra and Wind Symphony at the Musco Center of the Arts in Orange, California.​​

Hon has won multiple prizes for his artistry including 1st Prizes at the Elite, Grand Prize Virtuoso, and the Los Angeles "Golden Classical Music Awards" International Music Competitions, and 2nd Prizes at the Crescendo International Competition and the MTAC Romantic Theme Competition. He was also a finalist of the 2022 Chapman Concerto & Aria Competition, where he performed the Romance from Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1. Hon is also a recipient of the prestigious 2023 Liberace Endowed Scholarship, awarded to gifted and outstanding musicians.​​

In addition to music from the traditional canon, Hon has premiered new works for solo piano by multiple composers including Bryson Chaudhary and Killian Riley. Through a collaboration with Boston-based organization Castle of Our Skins, he was afforded the opportunity to perform music by legendary composer Adolphus Hailstork for the composer himself. As a collaborative and chamber artist, Hon has also played in a number of diverse chamber ensembles at the Longy School of Music and the Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music at Chapman University. He has also collaborated with professionals in the film and music industry, including Lukas Earth Productions, Monday Music Studios, and individuals from the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.

Hon is an alum of various piano festivals, which include the Oberlin Piano Festival, Summit Music Festival, Orford Musique, the Amalfi Coast Piano Festival, and most recently the Texas State International Piano Festival in Seoul, where he has performed in masterclasses for Michelle Cann, Jerry Wong, Kevin Fitz-Gerald, Bernadene Blaha, Enrico Elisi, Joseph Rackers, Dr. Jason Kwak, Daniel Shapiro, Stéphane Lemelin and Victor Rosenbaum. He received his B.M. and a minor in Music Technology from Chapman University with Dr. Grace Fong, his M.M. from the Longy School of Music of Bard College, where he is currently pursuing his Graduate Performance Diploma with Andrius Žlabys.​​
